American Gods season 4 could be all we’d like to talk about However, it was once when discussion surrounding the show was focused around the controversy behind the scenes, instead of the actual show.
Jesse Alexander was brought in as showrunner after Bryan Fuller and Michael Green’s separation prior to the start the second season. The two had been reported to have quit in protest against Starz. But Alexander, too, later departed.
In the following season, Orlando Jones, who played Anansi/Mr Nancy, the Ghanaian god of tricks was dismissed after season two. It was a move that led Jones to criticise openly host Charles Eglee.
He posted his video on social media in which he said that the firing was motivated by race.
“[Egleewas born in Connecticut and is and Yale educated, which makes him very clever,” he said. “And he believes that Nancy’s angry, you need to get shit done, is the wrong tone that is aimed at Black America. It’s true, this white man is in the seat of decision-making and I’m certain that he has a lot of Black BFFs who advise him and told him that if they didn’t remove the mad God Mr Nancy and start an Denmark Vesey uprising in this nation. It’s not like what else can it be?”
A representative from Eglee stated the claim of Jones was “wrong in a variety of ways” (via Entertainment Weekly), and an official from American Gods also denied the assertion: “The storylines of American Gods have continually changed and evolved to reflect the intricate mythology of the material from which they originate.
“Mr Jones’ option was not selected because Mr. Nancy along with other characters, isn’t part of the story we’re following in season 3.”
Neil Gaiman, who wrote the novel with the same name , on basis of which this show was based, and is also executive producer Gaiman revealed to us that there was “a significant amount of confusion” regarding how the cast of season three was expected to appear and he added: “I think it probably could have been handled better, which includes communication with the cast about the events of the season that was happening, and what’s taking place in season four..
“I’ll explain it in this manner: there are actors who believe they’ve been fired simply for not being in season three. they’re thinking”You’re not part of this season because of what’s taking place in the season you’re not part of. This doesn’t mean that you won’t return. There’s a lot of stuff that isn’t meant to be’.
“It’s similar to the novel. It actually introduces a number of new characters and there’s also a brand new plotline that ends at the end, linking to the previous story.“
The show also seen declines in ratings, so that it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone had it been pulled.
However, the fantasy show was renewed for a second season, and it was significantly upgraded, and we’ll be adding, and there’s no promise of renewal, however it’s certainly not a bad thing.
American Gods season 4 cast Who’s in the cast?

“I’m thinking about how long they’ll be able to complete the novel,” Ian McShane (Mr Wednesday) revealed to the TVLine. “Will the book end with the third season, and if so, will they have a fourth season and then Shadow becomes a wingman independently?”
Each of Gaiman along with Ricky Whittle (Shadow Moon) have also said that the show could have an existence that goes beyond the current chapter. But who will be playing an important part?
