Star Bailey Bass has shared the sweet gesture that Zoe Saldana gave her. Bass is Reya as part of the Metkayina Na’vi Clan, which is led by Fear the Walking Dead‘s Cliff Curtis’ Tonowari, and Kate Winslet’s Ronal.
Exclusively speaking to Digital Spy Bass, she revealed the advice she received from Sam Worthington and Saldana, veteran Na’vi actors. She said that their actions on-set had more impact than their words.
“I believe it was more their actions that what they said. Bass explained that they treated us immediately like family.
Bailey Bass clearly felt like she was a part the Avatar Family. She recalled that Zoe hugged her parents as one of the most touching moments on the set. She hugged us and welcomed them like we were a part of her tribe.
Saldana plays the Na’vi princess Neytiri, while Worthington portrays Jake Sully, a human-turned Na’vi.
The sequel is highly anticipated. Jake and Neytiri have several Na’vi children, including Jamie Flatters Neteyam. Jamie Flatters Neteyam said that he had to cover up his eyes when Saldana gave him hugs.
“I turned around as she did that, yeah. Bass, his star co-star, confirmed that his mum had indeed received the hug.
Trinity Bliss, who plays Flatters’ sister Tuktirey, said that she has received some incredible advice. For me, it was just watching them work and being there with them. It was amazing to watch them do their thing because they are pros. Sometimes it was the small things like getting to hug them and saying good morning. “
The Way of Water will be released in cinemas December 16th.
