Heartstopper second series is a long way from being completed however, for the moment we have 2 of the stars join forces for a brand-new series. Joe Locke, who plays Charlie Spring, and William Gao who plays her best pal Tao Xu, will be playing the lead roles as this UK debut of Dawn King’s stage play The Trials.
The story is set in the near future, the duo join an ensemble of youngsters in the role of a younger jury that will judge those of a different generation on how they responded (or the lack of it) to the global climate change crisis. A. Salisbury Poisonings actor Nigel Lindsay and The Bay‘s Sharon Small portray the grown-up jurors.
Michael Longhurst, artist director of the venue for the play, Donmar Warehouse The venue’s artistic director Michael Longhurst said in an announcement (via What’s on Stage): “Dawn King’s enthralling new play on climate change requires that we think about the people who are most affected.
“I am proud that , as part of the screening process for the Trials The Trials, the Donmar has created a comprehensive engagement program with youngsters Londoners from our communities and has opened doors to the theatre industry and helping to build the future generation of actors and activists.”

While this is happening, Heartstopper‘s other main character Kit Connor has been teasing his return on the coming season of his Dark Materials in a statement that reads: “I have definitely started Season 3 but I’m still not done. However, we’ve completed a large part of it and it’s stunning.
“I think Heartstopper fans] must watch his Dark Materials Yeah, I agree. I believe that they ought not even be able to hear me, but only because it’s an amazing show.” william gao
Heartstopper is available on Netflix. The series two and three have already been confirmed.
