The moment Prime Video from Amazon Prime Video Invincible launched in the summer of 2013, it was so well-loved that the fans began to demand Invincible season 2 before the first season had been completed. That’s what we call dedication.
Luckily the Prime Video from Amazon Prime Video was listening, and, after a few hours of work along with petitions and hashtags submitted by fans The program was renewed for a second season in the month of April to be the second season… and it will be a third!
Before this announcement, the show’s creator Robert Kirkman had already hinted that new episodes were likely even though it could be a bit difficult to make happen.

In an interview with the Collider on the development of the show The Walking Dead creator said: “The production timeline is quite intimidating. I believe that we’ve spent many years developing as well as working on the current season. As we move towards Season 2 and further the pace of things will be tighter.
“There’s certainly less designing and other things that need to be done before we can begin the second season. And it’s very likely that work has been completed on in the previous season. Therefore, I believe we’re in the right place to go forward should this show end in a successful conclusion.”
What will the Invincible season 2 appear like?
Invincible season 2 launch date is: when does it premiere?
We’re now more than an entire year past the renewal announcement but we’re still not close to knowing when the show will be on air.
As of September 20, 2022 we haven’t received confirmation of when the next season will begin however we’re hoping to hear from them soon.
Amazon is currently playing the Invincible cards close to its spandex-covered chest. The good news is that Khary Payton (Markus Grimshaw and Black Samson) has provided the most important information in regards to the second season’s development on September 20, 2022 (via SuperheroHype).
“We completed season two. We’re now in Season three,”” Payton said. “But it’s difficult to know right now. There was a plethora of animation studios trying to get it all completed and it was like having projects sitting around with bags of materials. They’re like, ‘Anytime you’re ready.'”
“I am so happy that they greenlit the two and three simultaneously since that means that when 3 is released it will be the next season and not like an entire lifetime.” Payton continued.
To be honest with Robert Kirkman, he has some work to do due to the imminent end of The Walking Dead which concluded filming in March 2022.
The first week of January Kirkman posted live tweets through the first episode in order to reveal to the fans the process of making it Then, he gave an update on the place Kirkman was during the making of season two.
“I have to go back into work on Season 2. (and season 3)! Actually, I have script that is due! Wish me luck!” He wrote. “And thank you for taking the time to read along! I love you all!”
Despite the lengthy wait the seasons two and three have been being developed for quite a long time.
On April 20, 2022, an film of the lead actor Steven Yeun (who plays Mark Grayson/Invincible) was released showing him in the recording studio.
“With the number of lines he’s got his vocal cords must be …” written along with it (we’re betting that this sentence ends with ‘invincible’ because of… evident reasons).

In a conversation in a conversation TechRadar the head of TechRadar’s writing team, Simon Racioppa admitted: “We’ve been working on this for quite some time.
“We’re working intensively on the project. It’s basically each day Robert Kirkman is working on it, and I’m doing my best to work on it. We’re discussing it and we’re well how to proceed.”
He said: “We’ve been working on the project for longer than people realize that it’s taking some time. It’s a huge spectacle.”
It’s evident that they’re feeling the pressure with the volume of people asking questions about the next episodes. In September their official Twitter account promoted the newest comic book, adding: “Yes, S2 is ongoing! You thought you wouldn’t ask.”
Racioppa gave more details about the progress of season two during his interview for comicbookmovie.com. Racioppa said:
“I believe you’ll be extremely pleased with this. I’m sure you will be. We’re determined to create it as badly as we can. Everyone wants to be able to. We’re deep in. I’d like to see it completed and I would like that it was completed however it’s not. We’re deep into it.”
The thing is, when it comes to animation, these episodes require some time (just to make it clear Racioppa’s argument). While both are currently in the process of being created, it’s still not known if they’ll be producing episodes two or three simultaneously in order to speed up the release times between the two seasons or if they’ll actually be performing things back-to-back.
In this light it is likely that we won’t hear any information until 2023 at a bare estimate.
The Invincible season 2 casting: Who’s in it?
The Invincible‘s cast is and we’re not saying this lightly – totally stuttering and it’s likely that it’s going to grow larger as the series gets more and more popular.
After the incredibly season one finale, we’re expected to see the majority of the next season’s return in The Invincible Season 2:
* Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson Invincible
* Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson
* JK Simmons as Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man
* Zachary Quinto as Robot
* Ross Marquand in the role of Rudy Connors, Robot’s new real body
* Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins * Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins Atom Eve
* Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Sloan Rex Sloan Rex Splode
* Malese Jow as Kate Cha / Dupli-Kate
* Grey Griffin as Shrinking Rae
* Khary Payton plays Black Samson
* Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman
* Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien
* Mahershala Ali in the role of Titan
* Kevin Michael Richardson as The Mauler Twins
* Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell
* Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett
“I am excited to record moresongs,” Steven stated, and so can the fans who streamed to the discussion section in huge numbers when footage of Steven in the studio was released.
“We are eagerly awaiting the release of this album,” said one fan. It’s not true.
We wouldn’t be shocked to find that other actors were already present in the studio too as actor Nolan Grayson/Omni Man JK Simmons said in March that the actors were scheduled to begin voice recordings in the near future (as stated by the website DiscussingFilm).
“I believe I’m able to tell you that we’re scheduled to go back to work shortly in the recording booth,”” Simmons teased. “Now the time between the first recording and our animation’s finalization is clearly numerous months, possibly even longer than a year I’d guess.
“But I will say that “Invincible season 2” is working in earnest , and season two is on the way I’ll say. There’s a nice, vague word.”
Mark Hamill as Art Rosenbaum may also return as Art Rosenbaum, with Kirkman declaring: “Oh, man… the recording sessions with @HamillHimself was amazing. Could Bulletproof be in the second season? We’ll have to wait and watch!”
… Tease.
Omni-Man was able to fly into a new galaxy after Mark discovered his secret However, Nolan is sure to return during Invincible season 2. The plot of his story is central to the show, and thinking of the future episodes without him is similar to imagining his face with his gorgeous moustache. It’s impossible.
Of course, the show has seen a number of cameos from the actors from The Walking Dead with season one bringing in appearances by the cast ofalumni Lauren Cohan, Ross Marquand, Sonequa Martin-Green, Khary Payton, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James and Chad Coleman all reunited with Invincible the lead Yeun.
Could that mean season two might have additional deadites?
“I am hesitant to mention names because I’d love to include everyone together,” Kirkman said (via ComicBook). “I cannot think of any actor from The Walking Dead I wouldn’t like to collaborate with ever again. It’s a fantastic cast of characters. Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan… there’s any one I wouldn’t like to invite in.”
The Invincible second season plot What’s going to transpire?
Based on what happened in the gruesome final scene Mark’s world is forever altered. The Omni-Man father of Mark has destroyed their entire family (along with a large portion of Chicago). Even though he’s gone for the time being, Nolan will eventually return with all the power from The Viltrumite race, who are determined to taking over Earth as a part of their empire.
In the final, Cecil asks Mark to be his father’s successor as the Earth’s champion. Although initially he’s hesitant however, his attitude will soon alter. In the meantime, he is planning to complete his high school, though it could be a challenge due to the numerous threats that could be coming to him.
