It has been more than two years since Netflix dropped its first season of Warrior nun. Now, our prayers are finally being answered. The streaming service announced that Warrior Nun season 2 of the drama will air on Thursday, November 10th.
Netflix shared the trailer for Season 2 on Twitter and wrote “Evil doesn’t have a prayer.“
Season 1 of fantasy drama concluded with Adriel being revealed to be a demon and not an angel. The trailer shows Ava dealing the aftermath of Adriel’s first encounter with her and her team.
Warrior nun was created by Simon Barry. It is loosely based on Ben Dunn’s manga-style comic series featuring the Warrior Areala.
Ava Silva is a 19-year old girl whose life is forever changed when she wakes up in a morgue armed with an artifact and new superpowers.
Soon she is recruited to an ancient order de warrior nuns, who are charged with protecting the Earth from demons.
Alba Baptista, a Portuguese actress, plays Ava in the series’ English-language debut. The series also features Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri Young, Lorena Andrea, and Toya Turner.
Fans eagerly awaited the news about Warrior Nun season 2, so showrunner Barry joked on Twitter in December 2021, that he had seen all of the new episodes.
Barry wrote “Having watched all Warrior Nun season 2 this week, it’s officially a Holy Hand Grenade’ Season. Get ready for “explosions”.
We are finally going to be able to witness them for the first time nearly a year later!
Netflix now has Warrior Nun season 1 available. Season 2 will be available on November 10, 2022.
