P–Valley Star Nicco Annan opened up about uncle clifford rules to retake control of The Pynk during season two of the critically-acclaimed strip-club drama.
Season one’s finale saw Autumn Night (Elarica John) purchase The Pynk at an auction to become the 80 percent owner. Uncle Clifford was left with a 20% stake.
We are now in season 2, and we can see Autumn taking control of The Pynk. She changes the rules and strippers.
Digital Spy exclusively spoke to Nicco, who said that Uncle Clifford would “fight tooth and nail to keep the club alive and regain control over it” this season. But it won’t easy.
“There is so much happening in Chucalissa. There’s so much happening. He explained that these rules are there for a reason but Roulette and Whisper insist upon breaking them.”
“But I think Uncle Clifford is also breaking some of her own rules to stay afloat and keep the business afloat. And to find her happiness. She’s doing some things. It’s sometimes like, “Wait! Should you have done that?” I don’t know. “Listen, I had to do this in the moment.
Nicco continued to explain that we will also learn more about Uncle Clifford and how she became The Pynk.
She considers the Pynk a legacy. It has been handed down through the generations. Autumn Night was told by Uncle Clifford that it was in season 1. It was probably episode 3. I believe it was there. This place has been passed down.
Season 2 gives you more insight into the backstory of this place. It was originally a cotton mill. Then it became a juke-joint. There was then a passing between Ernestine’s mother, Beulah and Uncle Clifford. There was a gap shift, so we are called in to learn more about the backstory and story of season 2.
P–Valley are available to stream on STARZPLAY UK and Starz USA.
