Shaughna Phillips, a former Love Island contestant, has shared why she chose to keep her partner’s identity private on social media.
Shaughna, who was pregnant with her first child, announced her news earlier this week on Instagram. She shared a video montage of the early stages of her pregnancy, including scans and a positive pregnancy test.
Shaughna captioned her post with the following: “Our greatest chapter …”, even though her followers and fans still don’t know who her mystery man is.”
Shaughna spoke to OK! magazine and explained that her partner doesn’t want to be seen in the public eye.
“It’s not mine decision. She explained that if she could, she would. He doesn’t want his name in the public eye. I must respect his wishes. Never say never.
“I know he will one day be there, because he is such an integral part of my life. He’s fine sitting in the background for now.

She said, “I’ve known him since years.” “We were friends as teens and were always in the same circle. We have both been with partners, but it has never been the right time. We were close friends before we met and fell in love around 2020.
“It was about the time that things opened up again after lockdown, and we were able to mingle. Then we both went back to lockdown and he moved in my flat. We kind of moved fast.
Shaughna revealed to the This Is Adulting podcast earlier this year that she has had men ask her to make their relationship public as a “red Flag”.
She stated that she used to tell her dates, “I’d like my relationship to remain private, if you’re okay with it.” She said that she used to say this to her dates: “I’d like to keep my relationship private, if that’s OK with you?” And if they replied, “Oh no, why would I keep mine private?” You’re like, red flag.
“But this guy was like ‘I don’t ever want to become public eye anyway’ and I was like I like that answer.”
