Jim Mickle developed Sweet Tooth, based on Jeff Lemire’s DC comic. It was originally intended for Hulu’s streaming service Hulu. However, it made its way to Netflix where it was a huge success. Despite the heartbreaking premise and story, many loved Gus and happily viewed all eight episodes.

Sweet Tooth season 2 release date speculation
We don’t yet know when Sweet Tooth Season 2 will be released. Although it seems less likely that Sweet Tooth Season 2 will be released in 2022, the possibility of a release sometime between 2023 and 2023 remains possible. For now, this is speculation. But stay tuned for more.
Sweet Tooth was renewed for season 2 in July 2021, one month after it became available. We might get news about a release date very soon, however. Season 2 filming began in New Zealand in January 2022. It is scheduled to continue until May 2022. Convery shared a photo on Instagram about returning to the set.
Sweet Tooth season 2 casting speculation
Convery is back for Sweeth Tooth Season 2, and it’s safe to assume that Nonso Anozie and Adel Akhtar, Stefania LeVie Owen and Naledi Murray will all be returning for their roles.
We can also expect more Last Men, new Hybrids and other surprises character-wise.
Comics had a limited cast to reflect the loneliness and isolation that its themes and settings engendered. Netflix has expanded on this and will likely do so again to flesh out the world.
Perhaps this will be the end, and Gus, Big Man and Pigtail will continue to search for salvation.

Sweet Tooth season 2 plot speculation
We know what Sweet Tooth season two will be like. Although the TV series isn’t as dark as the comics it is, we have a rough idea of what Sweet Tooth season 2 will be about.
His mother was found in Alaska. However, it remains to be a mystery as to her whereabouts. We then have Big Man, Pigtail and Bear and their intertwined stories, along with Gus. The comics don’t cover the virus that causes such mutations in humans until issue 26, but season 2 could be brave and take a different narrative route.
