It is best to keep opinions about parenting styles to yourself. homelander son At the very least, it should be kept to a whisper among friends. However, we can all agree that Homelander (Antony Starr), is a terrible dad.
He is most likely the last Supe to have a child out of all the “heroes”. (Only Stormfront (Aya cash) is worse after her poor daughter had her parenting.
Alas His Boys‘ gods felt it was appropriate to bestow on him a son.
Season one’s biggest reveal was Becca Butcher (Shantel vanSanten), who is a healthy and thriving, and Ryan (by rape).
Homelander was an inhumane, devil-incarnate . However, his intention to be a good father started off reasonably well.
Homelander, who grew up in isolation was terrified to enter the real world for the first time. He was traumatized and wanted to save Ryan (Cameron Crovetti).
Unfortunately, his good intentions turned into something unhealthy and unnatural in true Homelander fashion.
He thought he would save Ryan, but instead he pushed him off a roof, turned him against Becca and kidnapped him. In his efforts to rescue Ryan, he used his laser eyes to slice through a few people in an attempt to locate him.
Ryan, as was to be expected after his mother’s death, ended up hating and fearing both his father and preferring the guardianship Of Butcher.
Ryan may have been the test child. If our theory is true, Homelander could get a second chance with a son.
Remember Teddy (Declan Sheedy), Madelyn Stillwell’s baby boy? Homelander’s mad jealousy and insanity, she adored the one she slept with. This was before Homelander raped her to death.
The baby, now a toddler, has returned in season three and he has grown… into a supe.
The Stillwell boy was not able to display any supernatural abilities when we last saw him. However, in the latest season, he can be seen zipping about as a teleporter in a home with special-abled children.
He did not reach the developmental milestone that we expect our children to achieve, so where did he get his powers?
You could argue that Madelyn (Elisabeth Shue), gave him compound V. If that were true, then why did it take him so long for his abilities to develop when he knows that transformations happen quickly.
Although teleportation is not a Homelander gift, there’s no reason for people to believe that inherited abilities wouldn’t be able to present themselves differently if Ryan wasn’t doing it.
Homelander had a special relationship with Madelyn.
Teddy might have been the result of such a tryst.
We imagine Madelyn (Elisabeth Shue), being as calculated as Teddy, and keeping Teddy’s paternity secret from Homelander due to his tendency towards being impulsive violent and unpredictable.
Homelander didn’t suspect anything unusual because Teddy’s latent powers could also explain why her pregnancy didn’t progress as quickly as Rebecca’s.
Both Ryan’s and Teddy’s existence require a reexamination on a serious plot hole The Boys must address.
Stormfront refers in season 2 to Ryan as the natural born superhero. Homelander was shocked to learn that Ryan was able to have children.
This was obviously false. He isn’t the only one to have had children.
Translucent (Alex Hassell), had a son named Maverick, and Mesmer, who was brutally killed by Butcher), had a daughter, Cleo. We met Cleo in season 2.
Both seem to lack the gift, so it begs the question: Why is Ryan the only natural born supe in this situation? Or, at least, why believe they think he is?
If this bizarre precedent is true, and Homelander can produce natural-born supes, then it adds more weight to the theory Teddy is his child. homelander son
He has his father’s INCREDIBLY creepy eyes.
The Boys season 3 episodes are now available on Amazon Prime Video. The remainder of the season will be aired weekly on Fridays.
