Top Gun Maverick harbours an audio Easter egg during the American Football sequence at the beach. It was first shared by Twitter user @msmegalodon last Wednesday. Since then, it has been confirmed by Eddie Hamilton, the sequel’s co-writer Christopher McQuarrie, and Tom Cruise .
She wrote that her favorite party trick was showing people they have sampled the Top Gun 1986 volleyball scene audio for the Top Gun Maverick beach football scene.
You can see that the Easter egg is not a celebratory scream. It has been reused for another sporting moment 36 years later.
Hamilton via twitter. “Very subtle nod to the iconic beach volleyball scene. Bravo. Bravo.
“No one has seen this so far as I know. Take your time and enjoy the smug zone.
McQuarrie is also the director of Cruise in The Next Two Mission: Impossibleblockbusters. Later, McQuarrie arrived to give @msmegalodon a pat on the back.
“Keep on smuggling, Emma.”
Other Top Gunnews: director Joseph Kosinski has previously addressed a theory regarding Maverick’s death after he achieves Mach 10 in a Darkstar hypersonic craft.
Is he really going to die because the plane crashes?
The filmmaker stated that there is a mythic element to the story. This is based on Maverick’s identity and his history, as well as the fact that he’s going through a rite of passage in a different part of his life.
“Movies can be understood in your own way based on the things you have seen and the experiences you’ve had. That’s why I won’t be critical. It’s an extremely cool interpretation of the story.
