Why Virgin Orbit Stock Rocketed Today
What was the cause?
VORB Stock : Begin the countdown. Between 4 p.m. between 4 and 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. the brand new launch space first public offer business Virgin Orbit Holdings ( VORB 2.87 percent) will conduct its first space launch as a publicly traded corporation.

Orbit is one of the latest of the world’s private space firms to be listed on the stock exchange, after completing it’s reverse merger with an acquisition for special purposes company in the last quarter of in the year. In its short history as a private business, Virgin Orbit has successfully launched payloads into spacethat were carried through rockets that were launched mid-air from an old “Cosmic Girl” 747 freighter jet — twice in the past.
The launch today, however this marks the first time Virgin Orbit has put its own price for stock in the public domain.
What’s next?
Investors seem to take success for granted, and they are reward Virgin Orbit stock beforehand with the 6% increase in price. It’s not clear however, if Virgin Orbit is worthy of that reward until later this afternoonand, coincidentally, following the closing of the trading day. According to Space.com reports, Cosmic Girl is scheduled to depart from Mojave Air in California and Space Port at no later then 4 p.m. ET (close for trading).
If the mission is successful If the flight is successful, Virgin Orbit will deposit seven satellites to three distinct customers on orbit tonight. Most importantly it will establish the foundation for Virgin Orbit’s biggest year in its history. Through the remainder of 2022, Virgin Orbit aims to launch six times in succession and twice from England showing the international reach of its business and its capability nearly unique among space firms — for satellites to be launched from anywhere around the world with an airport.
