He requests her to roll ribbons to six inches in order to be added to the extravagant Christmas decorations at the department stores. Deschanel made a hilarious quote from the scene on an Instagram post that included two photos of her from the film in the scene.
Deschanel captioned the photo “When the actor asks for six inches of curly ribbons… (that’s not possible).”
Elf returned to the screens in two different methods this time around. The first was that Asda used the voice of Will Ferrell’s Buddy in its Christmas commercial the year before, and another Christmas film also referenced Elf..
Spirited The film, which stars Will Ferrell as the Ghost of Christmas Present, features an unintentional gag that is a reference to Buddy the Elf. The film’s director, Sean Anders, said: “I was not comfortable with the idea of putting the Elf persona in the film without the permission of Will Ferrell.”
“And before we even consider it, Will actually thought, “Well, wouldn’t it be better an Elf reference, because the film takes place in a place in which A Christmas Carol exists, we could as possibly make the reference of Elf“,” Anders said.
“And this was, in the end, Will’s concept. And it’s a great laugh every time you watch it in front of an audience, and is a lot of fun to refer to!”
